Gary Farrow, a PR guru and close friend to George Michael has claimed a drug habit ruined the late singer's career. He told the Sun:

‘I believe easy access to drugs was the cause of his problems. I thought George was too bright to get involved with illegal substances. But once this disease gets hold of you it’s hard to fight it.’

Friday Eto Nduka, a Malaysia-based Igbo guy from Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, who returned to Nigeria this Christmas for his wedding was allegedly shot dead by police along Owerri Road in front of his fiancee and brother by a police inspector identified as Mike Edem, who was attached to a gas station following an argument. Friday Nduka was supposed to wed on Dec. 27th, being today. He was shot on December 22.

Confirming the incident, spokesman for the state police command, Andrew Enwerem said that the killer cop is on the run. Quite sad!

76 people including Brazilian footballers have been confirmed killed in the passenger plane that crashed early this morning (Nigerian time). The plane was carrying 81 people including Brazilian international footballers, (Chapecoensea football club), their technical team, media personel and others and were on their way from Bolivia to Columbia for a football match when it crashed. Five people are said to have survived.

The plane was chattered in Bolivia from a small airline. The cause of the crash has not been confirmed yet though initial report claimed the plane ran out of fuel.
